Profhilo wholesale price UK 2025 — what clinics actually pay

Profhilo has become one of the most requested treatments in UK aesthetic practice. But what are clinics actually paying at the wholesale level — and why does the price vary so much between suppliers?

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is a bio-remodelling injectable made by IBSA, containing 64mg of hyaluronic acid in a 2ml pre-filled syringe. Unlike traditional dermal fillers, Profhilo is not designed to add volume or shape. Instead, it stimulates collagen and elastin production in the skin, improving hydration, texture, and laxity.

A standard Profhilo treatment protocol involves two sessions approximately four weeks apart, with five injection points per side of the face (the BAP technique). It has become one of the fastest-growing aesthetic treatments in the UK, with strong patient demand driven by natural-looking results and minimal downtime.

What do UK clinics pay for Profhilo wholesale?

The honest answer is that prices vary significantly between suppliers and between clinics. Unlike some products where pricing is relatively standardised, Profhilo wholesale costs depend heavily on where you buy, how much you buy, and what commercial terms you have negotiated.

We are building verified benchmark data for Profhilo through the Supply Index founding members programme. Once we reach sufficient data points from enough clinics, we will publish P25, median, and P75 benchmarks — giving you a clear picture of where your price sits relative to the market.

What we can say from early submissions is that the spread between the lowest and highest prices clinics report paying is substantial — often more than practitioners expect. This is consistent with what we see across other aesthetic injectables.

Why do Profhilo prices vary so much?

Several factors drive the variation in what UK clinics pay for Profhilo at the wholesale level:

  • Direct vs distributor: Some clinics purchase Profhilo through IBSA's authorised UK channels directly, while others buy through third-party distributors. Each route comes with different pricing structures, and neither is guaranteed to be cheaper.
  • Volume discounts: Clinics performing high volumes of Profhilo treatments can often negotiate better per-unit pricing. If you are purchasing just a few syringes per month, you are likely paying more per unit than a clinic ordering in bulk.
  • Bundle deals: Some suppliers offer improved Profhilo pricing when you commit to purchasing other products from them — effectively cross-subsidising. This can make like-for-like comparison harder.
  • Account history: As with most aesthetic suppliers, existing customers who have never renegotiated may be on older, less competitive pricing. New customers sometimes receive introductory rates that are better than what loyal accounts are paying.
  • Payment terms: Clinics paying upfront or on shorter payment terms sometimes access better pricing than those on 30 or 60-day accounts. The cost of credit is often built into the unit price.

Profhilo vs Profhilo Structura — know what you are comparing

IBSA has expanded the Profhilo range with Profhilo Structura, which has a different formulation designed for deeper tissue remodelling. Structura is a distinct product with its own pricing — typically higher per syringe than standard Profhilo.

When comparing wholesale prices between suppliers, make sure you are comparing the same product. A quote for standard Profhilo 2ml is not comparable to Profhilo Structura, even though both carry the Profhilo name. On Supply Index, we track these as separate products to ensure accurate benchmarking.

How to benchmark your Profhilo costs

Until independent benchmark data is widely available, here are practical steps you can take to understand whether your Profhilo pricing is competitive:

  1. 1Check your most recent invoice and calculate the exact per-syringe cost excluding VAT. Include any delivery charges in the calculation if they are not waived.
  2. 2Request quotes from at least two other authorised suppliers. Even if you do not intend to switch, having alternative pricing gives you negotiation leverage.
  3. 3Ask your current supplier directly whether better pricing is available at higher volume commitments. Many suppliers have tier structures they do not proactively share.
  4. 4Consider whether you are paying for services bundled into the price (training, marketing support) that you do not actually use. If so, ask for pricing without those extras.
  5. 5Join the Supply Index founding members programme to contribute your invoice data and access verified benchmarks once they go live.

Why verified data matters

Anecdotal pricing shared in Facebook groups and WhatsApp chats is a starting point, but it is unreliable. Prices are often quoted inconsistently — some include VAT, some do not; some include delivery, some do not; some reflect one-off promotional pricing rather than ongoing commercial rates. Supply Index benchmarks are built exclusively from verified invoices, standardised to per-unit ex-VAT pricing. This is the only way to create a genuinely useful comparison.

Help build the Profhilo benchmark

We are recruiting 100 founding clinics to submit supplier invoices. Once we reach critical mass, verified Profhilo benchmarks go live — and founding members get lifetime free access.
